Everything at Ollie’s begins with the bay. The light on the water at six in the morning. The cool stone of the lobby in the afternoon. The slow, unhurried hour before dinner at Luma, when the day moves gently from sunlight to candlelight.
Thirty-five rooms and suites, each composed around its own light. Most open onto a private terrace, while many sit directly above the water. The proportions are generous, the privacy is real, and even the smallest details, from the linens and bedside reading light to the morning espresso, are chosen with the same care as the architecture itself.
Long before the hotel became an idea, our family had a hillside of olive trees above Donja Lastva. The oldest trees are more than two hundred years old. Each season, they give the first oil: a few hundred bottles, hand-picked and cold-pressed within a day of harvest.
Ollie’s grew from that grove. The same oil served at the family breakfast table is poured over the bread at Luma, used in the spa rituals and placed in the small ceramic bottle waiting in your room on the day you arrive. It is the quiet thread that runs through everything we do.
A hotel without a story is just a building with rooms. The story we keep telling is the one of a family, a hillside, and a tree.
